Last week, I went to the Ulta Beauty World Masterclass, and here is my honest take on the experience.
Here’s what we were promised:
- An unforgettable beauty experience with an exclusive, hands-on learning session led by top industry experts and brand founders.
- Insider tips, pro techniques, and personalized guidance
- Each class was designed to elevate our beauty routines with practical skills through direct access to expert Q&A and curated product recommendations.
The ticket cost $80, and we were only supposed to receive featured brand products, so no swag bag.

With that, my expectations were set a certain way. I was going to get an opportunity to learn from the best and not a lot of swag, but here is the truth.
Was the information I received valuable? Yes, as a girl who hasn’t done makeup in a real way in a long time, I enjoyed myself, and I took note of what they showed us so I can try it in my day-to-day. I thought it would be slightly more hands-on, but I love what I got.
We learned more about the brands and the people behind them, which made me want to try their products even more.
The swag was more than what I expected. We got approximately $346 worth of swag during check-in, which was more than I expected. They were all products I can actually see myself using, versus giving away or going to waste. The value of both of these things definitely paid for the ticket.

If you would like to check out the product details, I’ve included all of them in my storefront to make it easier: https://c-linx.com/OGkxND
Was it worth it? As someone who also purchased the Expo ticket, yes. It was an amazing start to the events, and I met so many lovely people and had a great time. I can see how someone who only got this ticket would say no. When you think about the cost of all the travel expenses without the expo it would be a bust, but if you are a local, I absolutely recommend going!

Would I do it again? Yes, if I am lucky enough to get an expo ticket next year or if the event ever happens in the Chicagoland area, I’ll definitely try to snag a ticket. If the event occurs in a state where I’ll need to get a flight, hotel, etc. I might need to catch it online.

If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to reach out I would be happy to share any information I have or see if I can find anything out.
